🌿 Seguin Family Farms needs your kōkua.

After the recent flooding in Waiāhole, we’ve been overwhelmed by the amount of people reaching out and asking how they can help us restore the farm.

This weekend, Saturday & Sunday, September 12–13 at 9 AM, we’ll be gathering to begin the physical cleanup and recovery.

Work will include clearing debris and branches, moving rocks, shoveling mud, clearing pathways and waterways, and cutting fallen logs.

If you’re able to help, please come prepared with proper clothing, boots, gloves, water, and aloha. If you have tools, wheelbarrows, chainsaws, hauling capability, or experience with debris removal, that would also be greatly appreciated.

The road to recovery will be long, but this is the first step.

We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming amount of aloha, kōkua, donations, messages, and support our family has received.

With your help, we can rebuild, restore, replant, and continue our mission of growing food and feeding local families.

🌺 Mahalo, Hawaiʻi. From the bottom of our hearts.

To everyone who reached out, checked on our family, donated, shared our fundraiser, offered help, kept us in your thoughts and prayers, mahalo nui loa.

We are truly overwhelmed by the generosity and amount of support we’ve received. Every donation, share, message, prayer, and check-in means more to our family than we can put into words.

These donations will directly help us rebuild, restore, replant, and get Seguin Family Farms back on its feet. 🌱

During one of the hardest moments our farm has faced, we’ve been reminded that the spirit of aloha is alive and well.

And right now, that spirit matters more than ever.

Check on your neighbors. Check on your friends and family. Help where you can. Share what you have. Support the people and communities around you.

Hawaiʻi is hurting, but Hawaiʻi is also united.

🌧️ Help Seguin Family Farms Recover from the Waiāhole Flooding

Our farm was recently hit by severe flooding, leaving behind damaged water lines, debris, mud, uprooted crops, fallen fencing, and fields that now need to be repaired and replanted.

We’re starting with an initial GoFundMe goal of $2,000 to help with the most immediate recovery needs, including restoring water, clearing debris, repairing trellises and fencing, equipment rental, fuel, soil amendments, sandbags, and replacing damaged crops.

This is only the beginning of the recovery process, but every bit of support helps us move forward.

Truly traumatic flooding today, I cannot express how much this hurts. But we are grateful our family is safe.

Seguin Family Farms experienced flash flooding up to three feet high in most areas. Fast moving water damaging and destroying crops in its path.

Please be safe everyone as we continue to brace for more severe weather.

It’s officially Santol season! 💛

One of our favorite signs that the season is changing here on the farm—Santol is back. 🌿

For many Filipinos, Santol is more than just a fruit. It’s one of those familiar flavors that can bring back memories of the probinsya, childhood, and picking fruit straight from the tree.

And for those of us in the diaspora, knowing fruits like Santol is another little way we keep that connection to home alive. 🤎

Different soil, same roots. 🇵🇭🌺

Here’s to another season of harvesting, sharing, and enjoying what the land provides.
