Art of Confusion /// barrel aged imperial stout with wild Thai banana and coconut

A fantastic release from . Somehow this barrel aged imperial stout seems deceptively light and full bodied at the same time. While it is 14.7% ABV it’s not boozy or overly sweet like many imperial stouts but it does carry along those notes of coconut and banana incredibly well.

We attended the 3rd annual home brew competition in Excelcior Springs, MO this weekend. We had a great time sampling great bbq, shooting potato salad, and talking to a lot of great home brewers and beer enthusiasts. We also took second place in the Kolsch category as which was a welcome surprise. Looking forward to the next one!

If you want authentic, homemade German food with outstanding hospitality, you have to try Edelweiss. The food was delicious and the beer and dessert selection was divine.

Negroni Olivetti // gin, amaro blend, clarified pineapple, pear distillate, sweet vermouth

A complex negroni with the fall flavors of pear and cinnamon with the refreshing pineapple to brighten… this has enough Negroni to captivate the enthusiast and delight the skeptic. Bright. Bitter. Delicious.

Back at Drastic and it feels so good. The N/A rum mocktail for the pregnant babe-o left me wanting one too… so good. *insert Spiderman 3 gif here, wink*
