THREE YEARS IN THE BARREL.
YEARS IN THE MAKING.
Una Familia Extra Añejo begins in Jalisco, Mexico, with carefully cultivated 100% Blue Weber Agave. At harvest, each piña is closely trimmed before being cooked, fermented and twice distilled to preserve the character at the heart of the tequila.
Part of the agave is slowly steam-roasted in traditional stone-walled brick ovens for 36–54 hours, followed by a deliberate 48–60 hour fermentation — giving time for deeper agave character to develop before distillation.
Then comes the part that cannot be rushed.
Our Extra Añejo rests for a minimum of three years in Kentucky oak barrels, allowing time and wood to transform the tequila, developing its deep amber color, smooth character and layers of oak complexity.
From the agave fields of Jalisco to years inside the barrel, every step has a purpose.
