I started with ten minutes of intentional movement a day. It didn’t matter what it was, when, or where. Just a commitment to 10 minutes. That’s how I finished. 10 minutes at a time. 💜

They could build monuments to how physically & mentally tired I am. But movement is still medicine for me, and outdoors? Dreamy. There have been some good days lately. I knew there would be. Because no matter how hard things are in a moment, things can get better. 💜

The new year snuck up on me in a bad way. I’ve been navigating some heavy & hard things, and sharing here has not felt cathartic, so I’ve let it rest. 🩷 Something that I came to fully realize this year is that the good can coexist with the bad. Just because bad things happen, it doesn’t mean the good things didn’t matter or they weren’t real. I’ve been chasing contentment & joy so fiercely that I lost sight of the truth…you can’t control all the hard things in your life. I wish I could look back on this year and say it was my best year ever. On paper, and as you scroll my IG, it looks like a dream. Those things were REAL. The joy was real. The accomplishments were real. Those things mattered, and I’m so very grateful for the abundant opportunities & tremendous amount of love that has been poured into me. Thank you for being part of that. 🩷 As we roll into the new year, I want to let you know two things…1. I have been working on a project all year that I hope you all will be excited about. And I’m at a place where I’ll get to share that with you soon. 2. I am exhausted, and facing some difficult things right now. I need some rest. 🩷
Both of these things are true. So what does that mean? You won’t see much of me the next couple months, outside a marathon recap or reflection, but you WILL get to see me share the exciting news I’ve been holding onto. As always, I appreciate you sitting here with me. What a wild ride! I am very much looking forward to sharing my Patagonia adventure, which will be here before we know it, and letting the cat out-of-the-bag on my big, scary project. I hope this new year brings you hope, and joy, and courage, and the peace of knowing there will be good, even if there’s bad. Happy New Year, friends. 🎆💗

The joy of movement is for everyone. I started with ten minutes of intentional movement every day. It didn’t matter what, when, where. I gave myself permission to try new things and return to things I once loved, even though I wasn’t good at them anymore. You could start with one or two minutes, if 10 feels like too much. I really believe in giving yourself the chance to enjoy moving your body, and finding things that make you feel good. The power of movement is obtained when you grant yourself the joy. Grateful that I crawled out of darkness and returned to things I love!
