My Evening Brew of Hojicha 😌

Hojicha is brewed similarly to matcha, but with a warm, roasty flavor and very low caffeine content.

I’ve been enjoying it in the evenings lately as a way to slow down and transition out of the day ☕️

Just like wine, there are thousands of words you can use to describe flavors of tea, and it can be overwhelming to try and think of how to describe what you're tasting. You can start by identifying broader types of flavors that you like, such as sweet, floral, spicy, or mineral.

Much like wine, tea flavors can be described as mineral. These notes are a little less straightforward than spices or floral flavors, and are often perceived as being chalky, earthy, or reminiscent of wet stones. This flavor is desirable in certain teas like Oolong and Pu'erh.
