Life lately. It’s been so busy between work, kids’ activities and spring on the homestead. Been some beautiful sunsets and crazy storms. Trying to get the pool deck extended and some earthwork and landscaping in the backyard. Hubby had three successful turkey hunts and maybe sometime this month I’ll get some flowers and the garden planted! Also I met a zonkey. It’s not ours but if someone wanted to drop one off at our house, I’d gladly take one!

We have lots of eggs if you need any for Easter weekend! $4/dozen or $5/1.5 dozen.

It only took him a decade to convince me to build our barndominium, and I’m extra thankful every year when I get to admire this big tree!

🌟 Life lately 🌟 The Christmas decorations are finally up, but let's be real, the outside still has a fall vibe and two trees inside are still bare. We had a blast at Thanksgiving in Omaha, our first big snowfall in KC, and loving life on the homestead.

📸 This week in pictures. I know a lot of people have moved over to Christmas but I’m still hanging on to all things fall. We finally put up our decor last week, enjoyed some beautiful sunsets, sunrises, and the northern lights, got in some outdoor time on opening weekend, and found a new friend for the homestead (last photo). Here’s to another week of beautiful weather and the last bit of changing leaves. 🍁

Took a break from social media this summer and it was the best decision. Here’s a little highlight of the summer months. It was our first year with our raised beds and I learned a lot of good things for next year starting with building a fence this winter. We finished part of our pool deck and had lots of fun pool parties. We had family time and pretty sunsets and lots of bomb pops. We finished the summer with a trip to Glenwood Springs to soak in some mountain time before school started. Now I am ready for fall!

Canned 16 jars of pickles, 20 jars of peaches from our trees and 2 jars of peach syrup! If only our tomato plants were actually producing or we could get to them before the deer.

First batch a pickles. If you have a favorite recipe, please share it in the comments!
