Only regret is trip was too short so we didn’t get to see everyone we’d hoped to - guess that means we just need to come back soon!

One-pot chicken Alfredo with spinach - delicious but more time intensive than I’d like for a Tuesday

I think I’m done with these “one pot dinner” weeknight meals bc while yes, it only used one pot - still way too many steps for a weeknight!!

Cheesy chicken pasta with mushrooms and spinach - ok this is technically a “one pot dish” but damn, this was a lot of steps and again, too much effort for a weeknight 🤣 but delicious and it made a ton!!

Weekend round-up - played around Near Southside on Saturday and had a great time at Blue Flag Distillery , Brooklyn's, and One Trick Pony Pizza Tavern (mozz sticks on point but forgot to get a pic of the pizza!) - this area has blown up with so many great places to grab an app and a drink!

The dip trio at Brooklyn’s was so insane - we need to go back for a proper meal

Rising beef prices are forcing some Texas barbecue restaurants to remove brisket and beef ribs from their menus as operating costs continue to climb

Butter’s BBQ in Sinton recently removed brisket after saying it accounted for more than 70% of its grocery costs, while several other Texas BBQ spots have closed under growing financial pressure

This is so freaking ridiculous - and to think Dan called me crazy months ago when I started seriously stocking the freezer with chicken, beef, and frozen fruits/veggies + filled pantry with beans, pasta, jarred sauces, etc … are you doing anything special to counter all these food safety recalls?
