Not a lot going on lately. Been drumming quite a bit, and that’s not left a lot of time to bottle hunt and review anything. That being said, the single malt snob that I am has been seduced by some very nice blends. All by Compass Box. Fantastic stuff.

This post is not meant to be partisan , but more of lament. I’ve been on a bourbon kick for a bit, but now all but one of my favs are now “allocated”. Aloof, AWOL, MIA, etc. To make matters worse I check in to spy scotch selection and find the old faithful standards are storied like skyscrapers,.. higher and higher by the day due to tariffs. What’s a guy to do? Being in the middle of winter there is time for some choice cab sauv from Napa I suppose.
