Marco Felluga
Friuli Bianco
Primarily composed of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Grigio. Spends about six months aging on its lees in stainless steel tanks to build subtle texture while keeping its signature fresh character.
Features bright notes of green apple, grapefruit, and crushed lemon, balanced by a rounded texture and lively, clean acidity.
Perla Terra
Langhe Nebbiolo
Perla Terra is a new w**ery for Piedmont, founded only in 2022. Though they focus on Barolo, they work with growers in the area who also grow grapes outside of Barolo, including the Langhe.
Grape Variety: 100% Nebbiolo. Sustainable practices on vines aged 10 to 30 years in the Langhe hills (including communes like La Morra, Novello, and Monforte d’Alba).
Fermented and aged entirely in stainless-steel tanks to highlight the pure, fresh, and bright characteristics of the Nebbiolo grape. This is delicious Nebbi for a not a lot of money. It’s fresh with bright red fruit, chewy tannins, and a little to***co spice. A perfect pizza night w**e!
A new look for Garofoli’s “Piancarda” Rosso Conero. Released in the 1960s, the w**e was initially called “Biancarda,” which evoked the white, chalky, limestone-rich soils of Mount Conero. The w**e name was changed to “Piancarda” which was the vineyard name. With the 2023 vintage, the w**e name becomes “Piancarda Blu” reflecting the brilliant blue of the Adriatic sea. The w**e continues to be 100% Montepulciano, aged for 15 months in large oak casks, and matured in the bottle for six more months.
Aromas of ripe dark cherries, plums, wild berries, and Mediterranean herbs. The palate is medium- to full-bodied & fleshy with a savory, juicy finish, tangy acidity, and polished tannins.
