🤠 Well hey there… we’re back, y’all 🤎🐓

Velvet Hen Co. is back in the coop and ready to get our boots dirty again. We took a little time to reset, refocus, and pour some extra love into what we do—and it sure feels good to be home.

Around here, it’s all about good birds, honest care, and that down-home passion that started it all. If you’ve been riding with us, we appreciate you more than you know. And if you’re new… pull up a chair, you’re family now.

We’ve got some real exciting things coming your way, so don’t wander too far 👀

✨Friendly reminder outside visitors are not allowed in my coops and flock ✨

Strong biosecurity is one of the most important parts of keeping a healthy chicken flock. Many diseases — including coccidiosis, Marek’s disease, and respiratory infections — spread through contaminated shoes, equipment, wild birds, or even new birds added too quickly. Limiting contact with outside flocks, and quarantining new arrivals can prevent heartbreaking losses. A clean, low-stress environment helps birds build strong immunity and keeps illness from spreading. Good biosecurity doesn’t just protect one coop — it helps protect every flock in the community. 🐔💛

Hatcheries as well as any ethical poultry breeder will not allow ANY visitors in their coops I will follow by the same guidelines .

‼️‼️Its EXTREMELY IMPORTANT Outside visitors must not ‼️‼️

-Hand pick chicks or birds
-Reach into chick brooders to choose chicks they’d like.
-Interact with my flock as it were a petting zoo
-Let themselves into my coops or yard at any time.

✨I will GLADLY send any pictures and information requested for eggs and chicks that are UFD .I do work a full job and have other personal obligations .I will respond to messages and or comments as soon as I able to. ✨

Thank you,
Velvet Hen Co.🐣
