Just confirmed this morning that Flying Oaks Theia is in foal by Favorito DeSete Laguas. A Pega Donkey imported from Brazil by Arenal Ranch in Lubbock, TX.
This time next year we are looking forward to seeing the first Pega Marchador Mule in North America. Following that there will be more from our Flying Oaks mares. That are also being A.I. with Favorito DeSete Laguas frozen semen.

Flying Oaks Augusto, a five-year-old Mangalarga Marchador gelding, has been living the good life for the last month and half, since returning from three months of training with Alan Ribeiro Performance Horses. He is getting all the green grass he can eat, along with a daily dose of Purina Horse. So, I loaded him in the trailer and took him up to the pasture pens and round pen. He was anxious to go, just jumped in the trailer. Drove up to the pens, slipped the halter on him. Lead him around for a bit, then gave him a free run around inside the round pen for a short video clip. He didn't seem bothered by any of this and I was able to walk right up to him and put his halter back on. Gave him a small treat of grain. Took his halter off, opened the trailer gate and he just jumped right in and ready to go back home. It is really windy and hot today, however Gus never seemed rattled about anything today. Just carried on business like he did this every day. He is going to make someone a lifetime buddy. See less

Flying Oaks Augusto, four year old Mangalarga Marchdor gelding is finishing his training in a couple weeks with Alan Ribeiro Performance Horses. Augusto is the only gelding left from over eighty registered Flying Oaks Ranch horses here in Oklahoma. He is real sweet guy that has a loving personality and I think he has a preference to women. Even though Allan has done a lot of training on him. His assistant seems to be in all the photos Allan sends to me. I guess because he is the photographer. When I go down to pick him up in a couple of weeks, I will get some action videos with Allan riding him and showing the horse's abilities. Looking to find him a good home so I am going to be very reasonable in his asking price.

Well winter has arrived here in Oklahoma, nothing extreme yet, but the horses are still wondering where all that nice tall grass disappeared to. Now back to the self feeders full of prairie hay, at least they don't have to travel far.

Received this message from Dan and Hara, Kenai, Alaska, whom purchased two Flying Oaks fillies last year.

Rick - we had an Icelandic horse clinician stay with us for a lessons in the area. She is living in Iceland and works for a well known Icelandic horse trainer there and travels around teaching Icelandic horse owners how to better ride and train their horses. (My wife Hara has an Icelandic horse).
Jenna offered to let her ride Sarda and after some reluctance she did. Her enjoyment and huge smiles were wonderful to see. They ended up going on a short ride down the road which ended up being a long ride, then wanted to go on another trail ride on her before starting lessons the next day. She loved how light and soft they were to ride and how there was no effort required to get a smooth gait. She also was excited to return next year and ride Joia.
Your horses just keep impressing people.

Our dwindling herd, came through the Oklahoma summer fat and sazzy. We had good rains this year after many years of drought. Now they are looking for new homes, as we have closed out our breeding program a few years ago. Over the years FlyingOaks has raised and registered with the USMMA over eighty Mangalarga Marchadors. Our horses are located across the United States including Alaska, Canada, and France. We still have some very nice horses available with very reasonable prices and terms.
