So apparently the cattle are starting a spa! I went over to check the fences and found that FedEx had thrown 4 packages over a locked gate. A gate that has no house...

Here's the kicker, they aren't even my packages. In fact, the address for them was 5 miles from where they were left. I assure you FedEx guy, the cattle have no use for a shampoo chair!

For those who are wondering, I googled the address, found the name of the salon they were supposed to be delivered to, then dropped them off. Salon owner was happy, we're happy, cattle will have to wait a little longer for the glow up they are dreaming of...

Taking pictures of goats is so frustrating! Some of them only like me when it's time for feed and run, some of them like me too much and won't stay far enough away to take a picture. So here's a crappy pic of Victoria, our best doeling from this year. Meanwhile Violet is standing like the queen she is in the background, but as soon as she saw me looking, she was in my face and wouldn't let me get a proper picture...

If you've been around for very long, you quickly realized I have a soft spot for "broken things" thats a mile wide. With that in mind, let me introduce you to Cookie.

Cookie was born with contracted tendons in her front legs. She was a triplet and there just wasn't enough room for her in the womb. Our good friends at Bookworm Farm did an amazing job for the first 6 weeks of her life, but when they started to run out of options, we volunteered to take Cookie and see if the doctors closer to the city could help get her back up on her feet.

We're still looking for the right answer, but Cookie doesn't even know anything is wrong with her. She just wants to be a baby...

Well, today was certainly a special day! Today we got to welcome the newest arrival to the farm, Elite Safehaven Hills BlueStag! We already know he'll match up great with our current bloodlines and we know he throws beautiful kids because he's Speedy's sire. After the mandatory quarantine, we'll starting pairing him up with the girls for the fall breeding season. For now though, he'll be enjoying a luxury suite on the barn.
