In the last 9 years they have shifted their focus to growing produce on their 80 plus acre farm. Town and Country Nursery is owned and operated by Bob and Nancy Tabb. In the past our main focus has been on landscaping and seeding lawns. We are shifting our focus to a plant and produce retail outlet along with our pumpkin patch

Soooo, I've been telling our customers that I doubted we would be having peaches this summer because of the tremendous loss of the peach crop in our area.
Well, Farmer Bob was able to find some peaches for this weekend and he found some sweet and sour cherries too!
We will also have sweet corn, cantaloupes, tomatoes, kale, collards, Swiss Chard, mustard greens, broccoli and much more.
What we won't have is strawberries, apples and apple cider. The seasons are changing. The tastes of fall and spring are fading out and the tastes of summer are coming in.
We ❤️ summer.

Wow, it has been hot and the tomatoes are loving it.
But we do have some pretty cool things to eat.
Bob will be harvesting artichokes for this weekend, and that is really cool. Today we harvested tomatoes, kale, collards and Swiss Chard. He hopes to harvest some mustard greens Saturday. We will also have white sweet corn and cantaloupes this weekend.
Open everyday but Tuesdays, 10 am to 5 pm.

We are very thankful for the rain we have received the last couple of days. We have gotten over three inches with most of it soaking into the ground. Bob said this rain won't put an end to the drought but will put a dent in it.
We are open everyday from 10 am to 5 pm, except for Tuesdays. We are closed on Tuesdays for field work. We will be open Memorial Day with our regular hours.
Bob took the pictures this afternoon so it gives a good representation of what we will have this weekend.
We are starting to pick our tomatoes, including a few heirlooms (there is a limit of 2 on the heirlooms).
It is not too late to plant a flower garden or vegetable garden. We still have plenty of plants for your shopping pleasure. We are still planting as the weather permits.

Sprin-ter (Spring/Winter) is still with us. It felt more like March instead of May today.
We have had a busy week restocking produce and plants. The strawberries are coming from Baugher's Orchards. They are tasty.
When you look at the double begonia picture you will notice the yellow begonias in the background. Yes, we have some more and I am hoping to plant a few this weekend. We also have some cute zinnias and more colorful vinca.
While it has been rather cool to plant, it is definitely not too late to plant. As Sprin-ter fades, Spring will arrive.
Bob says this week we will be in Swing (Spring/Winter/Summer)

It's Mothers Day, and saying Happy Mothers Day to all the amazing moms who have graced my life is no small thing. Everyday I get to interact with people who have the gift of mothering either in their families, among their friends, in their schools, in their businesses, in their churches, etc. They give their time, their energy, their resources, their wit and their wisdom to enhance the lives of others.
I want to thank you for blessing my life with your stories, recipes, gardening tips, faith and prayers.
You bring great joy to my life.
So Happy Mothers Day with a heart full of love and prayers for your strength, courage and endurance in mothering.
You are seen, you are heard and you are loved.
🩷 Nancy

We have been posting so many plant pictures, I ask Bob to take some pictures of the produce for a post before we closed this evening. He managed to snap a few flower pictures. He loves his flowers. Bob has supervised the potting up of all the planters.
