We’re proud to stand behind our farm foreman, Dusty Koch, who recently testified at the Colorado State Capitol regarding SB 26-121.
This bill establishes a new requirement for agricultural employers to pay overtime after 56 hours per week starting January 1, 2027, while outlining specific exemptions for roles like family members, decision-making managers, and certain livestock operations.
Dusty showed up to represent not just our operation, but farmers and ranchers across Colorado—sharing real-world insight into what these changes could mean on the ground.
Agriculture doesn’t run on a 9-to-5 schedule. It’s early mornings, late nights, and long weeks—especially during planting and harvest. Policies like this matter, and it’s critical that the voices of those living it every day are part of the conversation.
We’re grateful for Dusty’s leadership and willingness to step up.
