Hi BABF family!! We have an announcement- we will NOT be hosting summer camp 2026- our horse show/riding school schedule are going to interfere with our camp plans.

HOWEVER- we DO have space to take on new riders or experienced riders for lessons this summer. English riding Lessons are one hour and cost is $85- and your rider can always visit our farm animals before/after lessons. If you are signed up for camp and would prefer to do riding lessons, message this page or text 203-536-1880 to arrange time slots/days. If you want a refund for camp, please message us and let us know if you want payment back via Zelle or PayPal and information to send.

We are SO sorry and hope to be able to offer camp in the future!!!

Well- today was eventful. We are thrilled to confirm that Frank the Tank, the menace of Westlake Academy has in fact been captured, removed, and returned home to his pig pen friends at the Farm. Frank was VERY sad to say goodbye to his home away from home and was a very feisty traveler. For those that don’t know, Frank escaped his pen at a travel petting zoo and has been living large for the last couple weeks while we brainstormed ways to catch him. He outsmarted and escaped not only the regular farm traps and cages we have on hand, but also THREE different types of have a heart traps, all that he learned to trigger and escape after eating the bait. We brought out the big guns hog trap, and he promptly escaped that and left his mom trapped inside it when she tried to remove him. But today…today he was no match for a commercial fishing net, a homemade welded steel enforced 8’ hog trap and a bag of large breed puppy chow. Franks rein of terror at Westlake has officially ended, and he will be trapped for a looooong time in his secure pen practicing his recall words and good boy behavior. Many thanks to all who patiently awaited Franks capture!! Ashley Bostrom Tatum
