Who would be interested in a whole or half hog for their freezer? We will have some butcher hogs available this April/May. Cost would be $1 per pound live weight plus processing (usually also $1 per pound). Find answers to the most asked questions in the comments :-)

Apparently cow math is a lot like chicken math. We planned on buying just one cow Saturday, but there has been so much interest in our milk that we got two 😊 Welcome to the farm, ladies! Mary is due to have her calf on Christmas Day, and Elizabeth had a bull calf last night. (Bonus points if you can tell where my husband got those names!) Once we get past these first few days of colostrum for the calf, we will no longer be running out of milk - yay!!

As the wind is whipping around the first snowflakes of the season, I thought it would be a good idea to talk about a "bad weather" milk drop plan.

I will always send a message with as much notice as possible if I don't think I will be able to make it to a milk drop. If it is questionable, I will cancel no less than one hour before the scheduled drop.

I will reschedule any cancelled drop as soon as possible - hopefully within 24 hours. If you are not able to make it to a rescheduled drop, I will try to deliver the milk to you at home or work if you live nearby.

If you can't make a milk drop and still want to get your milk, you can always come pick it up at our farm. Just give me a heads up first to make sure I'm home.
