The field is so pretty right now! I love how perfectly our field sits. We have beautiful sunsets right to the west of our 10 acre field almost every night.
I’ve been a bit out of touch posting here, for many good reasons and that is okay! Everything is great, just super busy.
First, we just recently purchased the property next door and moved my father-in-law in. He is excited about helping in the garden and wants to grow watermelons! He is a retired rancher, so I am thankful for the experience that he will bring and we plan to move the goaties to his fields.
Second, I am working in the gardens almost daily. I have planted about 50+ varieties of perennials, annuals, and trees so far this spring! I still have more seeds to get into the ground and more plants to plant. It is a joy, but also difficult when the weather is crazy windy or raining cats and dogs. There is always a dance around the weather when farming and gardening!
Third, we have 4 teenage boys! Need I say more?? Hah! Our days are busy with homework, piano lessons, soccer, and now football! And food..so much food!
Despite all of this busy busy, we have completed several projects around the farm (and have more in progress) that are going to make the best photo backdrops for you. We are a work in progress, but we are still here!
