This crazy girl is playing/training the bottle baby goat we got. Yes her name is Milk Dud and I blame my wife. She was hungry, went out to check on mom and saw triplets. And so they became Milk Dud, Cookies & Cream, and Dark Chocolate. Goes great with thr other like Vampirina, Athena, Blue, Arrow,and Junior.

Think I might have to come up with a naming convention for these guys. I'm thinking gods and goddesses.

Ahead of the eclipse we have been working hard on spring repairs and general property maintenance. Burned two slash piles and old hay drop off spots 2 weeks ago. Well today was a doozie as we torn up the goat barn floor. It was a converted horse barn from the previous owners and we started noticing that the floor was higher that it should be. So we busted out the shovel and realized that over time we hadn't gotten all the bedding out. But today we did. Even had to borrow a friend's tiller to break some of it up as it was packed. I know bad on us but we are learning as we go and needless to say we will NEVER let that happen again.

We have added to our flock today. 8 more hens, 2 guineas, and 2 turkeys.
