We are a family-owned and -operated orchard in northeast Indiana, established in 1969. We grow over 30 different varieties of apples, but also have pears, cherries and peaches, as well as locally-grown vegetables from our garden and others. We sell a number of processed products like apple butter, apple jelly and apple syrup that are made to order with our apples and contain no sugar, preservative
s or spices (just apples!). We also offer honey from our bees and other local beekeepers, locally-made maple syrup and more. We are NOT a pick-your-own orchard. We do have pre-picked, washed and bagged apples available for sale, as well as bushels of "seconds" that are perfect for making your own apple sauce, pie filling or canning of any kind. This is also true for peaches, pears, cherries and other fruit we grow here. We do custom orders upon request -- if you have a specific need for a certain variety, size or amount, please give us a call and we'll see if we can meet your need. For the holidays, we prepare gift baskets and boxes of apples and apple products. We do custom gifts upon request. We also ship apples and our processed butter / jelly / syrup upon request. Merry Christmas, everyone. As 2022 draws to a close, we look back with gratitude at the blessings it has brought – good crops, (generally) good health, many new and lasting friendships with our customers / friends and an abundance of happiness. Thank you all for your support and business throughout the year; we love what we do but it makes it all worthwhile to see our customers enjoy the fruits of our labor.

We finally did our once-a-year pressing of apple-pear cider. Quantity is very limited, but it's available in the store now.
We've started creating baskets for Thanksgiving -- cider, apples and other goodies are the perfect gift to take along to your host, or for a friend or neighbor. We have some ready-made in our market, but can also customize one to your needs.
We've picked the last of the apples! Goldrush and Braeburn, two of the most tart apples we grow, are now available in the retail store.
We also got in some pie pumpkins from a local farmer in response to all the requests for them. They're limited, so hurry out if you want one. There's nothing like a pumpkin pie made out of the real thing!
Cameo and Evercrisp are now available!
Fuji are now available in our retail market! Sweet and super-crisp, this is one of our favorite apples.
We now have Ida Red, Winesap, Rome and Suncrisp apple varieties available in the market. We pulled our honey off the hives this past week, too, so that's now available.
Bosc pears have been picked!
Just another week on the Fuji apples and later varieties... this weather is hampering the picking schedule.
Mutsu and Empire apple varieties have been added to the store!
Harvest season continues! We're still picking several varieties. New to the store this week:
SnowSweet: has a rich, sweet, buttery flavor and texture.
Shizuka: Like it's sibling Mutsu, has a creamy texture and a lot of sweetness.
Yataka: often called an "early Fuji," this variety is super sweet and crunchy.
Sundale: a sweeter version of a Gold Delicious.
We still have a wonderful variety of pumpkins, gourds, and other decorative items, as well as fresh cider. Open Monday - Saturday 8am-6pm, Sunday 1pm - 5pm.
Looking forward to the Kendallville Apple Festival this weekend! While we won't be at the festival itself, we will have apples, cider and various fall decorative items for sale here at the orchard. Be sure to try the apple dumplings, apple fritters and all the other delicious apple-based food that use our apples -- all of these organizations do tremendous work for our community and we are proud to support them!

Apple season is off to a great start! We now have McIntosh available in our market, and some Stanley plums. We're picking Gala today, so expect those in the market by the end of this week.
Three new varieties in the retail store:
Zestar - crunchy, sweet, excellent flavor
Ginger Gold - crisp, sweet with a 'spicy' note reminiscent of ginger spice
Prima -- crisp and tart, an excellent pie apple
The first apples have been picked! Pristine is a nice, crunchy, sweet/tart apple that is good for fresh eating or applesauce.
We also have sweet corn available now!
PEACHES ARE IN!
We have the oh-so-tasty GlenGlo to start off peach season. This peach is best for fresh eating, as it isn't freestone (making it not very good for canning). We will keep the page updated as new varieties come in, and if you've submitted an order for canning/freezing peaches, we'll give you a call when your order is available for pickup.
Hours: Monday-Saturday 8:30am - 5:00pm, Sunday 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Price: $8 for a 5-lb box ($1.60/lb)
As we await peaches -- likely end of this week -- we have fresh fruits and vegetables in the store from one of our local farmers. Blackberries, potatoes, tomatoes and eggplant are all available.
Shiro plums are being picked today, so we'll have those in the market tomorrow.
The first plums of the season have been picked. We have a limited quantity of METHLEY plums in our farm market right now.
Methley plums are a small plum with delicious red/purple skinned fruit and dark red flesh. It is fantastic for fresh eating with a rich, sweet plum flavor. Methley is also renowned for wonderful jams and jellies, though their size makes pitting time-consuming.
The Shiro plums are starting to turn yellow, so we hope to have those in the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned!

The apples look good this year -- already getting to be golf-ball sized. Cherries are winding down, though we have some more tarts and sweets available at the cherry farm.
Several people have called to ask about peaches, and we can finally report that we have an estimated start date of July 22nd. We will, of course, keep everyone updated as we get close.
Plums are still ripening, but we'll post when the Shiro plums are ready. Looking forward to starting another busy season and seeing many old (and new) friends again!
We're getting down to the end of the apples, and expect to sell out within the next week. Frozen apple cider is available, along with apple butter / apple jelly / apple syrup in our market. And popcorn!

Happy Fall! Doing a little fall decorating?
One of our farmer friends brought his pumpkins and gourds in -- they are absolutely beautiful this year! Some of the white pumpkins weigh more than 75 lbs.
And Bartlett Pears have been picked! Those of you on the list will get a call, but feel free to come on out to get your order.

Ginger Gold -- crisp and a little spicy-sweet. A wonderful eating and sauce apple.
Prima -- very crisp, extremely tart. A wonderful pie apple!
Zestar -- very sweet, medium texture. Great for fresh eating!
One of early apple varieties -- Redfree -- has been picked and is now available in our retail market!
These are a sweet, medium-textured apple that's good for fresh eating but is also very popular for apple sauce.
Allstar™ peaches are in!
This is a large, round, firm peach with yellow flesh. Not a lot of fuzz. Excellent for freezing and canning!
We have the freestone peaches now! Also sweet corn, tomatoes and other vegetables.
Open Monday through Saturday 8am - 5pm and Sunday 1pm - 5pm.
Peaches are in! We have the early-season Glenglo variety right now. It's not free-stone (cling free) but it is a good eating peach.
