Back on September 11th, our final calf of 2026 finally arrived! First calf momma did great! Our new bull that we purchased May of 2025 from 1Tribe Farm produced an excellent first calf crop. We will have a really nice batch of grass fed & finished beef in 2028!

We are starting our 3rd grazing pass today on 42 days of rest. It's 95 degrees with a heat index bouncing between 108 and 113 degrees. These red cows don't seem to mind it one bit. They've used the shade trees for maybe an hour today.

Almost stepped on a surprise calf this evening doing chores. 5th calf of the year. Took me a minute to figure who the mother was. Turns out it was Bingo ( #17) with the delivery of her first calf!
