🌿 My first time growing dahlias! 🌿

I’m so excited that my very first attempt at growing dahlias brought me TWO beautiful blooms! They may only be two blooms, but they feel like a huge success to me!

Definitely a little reminder that beautiful things take time. Here’s to learning, growing, and hopefully many more dahlias to come!

:::SPREAD THE WORD:::

This Friday 10/23 - come collect seeds at Hilltop Haven’s flower farm!

The frost has gotten to most of our flowers. Before they all fall to the ground, come collect seeds for your own flowers next summer!

I’ll share my seed collecting tips. $10 per bag. Fill a bag with as many flowers as you’d like.

Zinnias
Marigolds
Cosmos
Calendula
Forget Me Not
Sunflowers

We have never done an event like this before. It’s going to be a great time! So help us spread the word.

See you Friday at 10am!

Did you know… Some plants can live through the winter in your barn, basement, or garage with very little water or light. Every year, before the first frost - we load up the porch flowers, and put them in storage. 🪴

I only water them once or twice in the winter months. Do you keep any plants over winter that are considered ‘annuals’? Share your tips & tricks below 👇

💐Filling flower orders, even when it’s raining. ☔️

I’m so thankful and blessed by amazing friends and customers. This truly brings me joy (even in the rain), and I hope they bring joy to the young ladies receiving them as well.

I’ve been figuring out the whole onion-growing thing through trial and error the past couple years, and today I harvested my biggest one yet! It may not be perfect, or that impressive to some, but seeing this ‘huge’ onion in the garden sure makes me pretty proud! 💛

Every season teaches me something new, and I’m excited to keep learning, growing, and seeing what I can produce from the garden. 🤩

Here’s to the little wins—and the BIG onions! 🧅

💜FROM GRAPES TO GRAPE JELLY💜

There’s something special about growing, making, and providing for your family. It brings a sense of pride, gratitude, and independence—and I’m so thankful for the opportunity to teach these gifts to my children.

They love grape jelly, and wanted to learn how it’s made. From picking the grapes to making something delicious together, we had the best time. These are the moments I hope they carry with them long after they’ve grown up and started families of their own.

The jelly may be something we enjoy for a season, but the skills, traditions, laughter, and memories will keep on giving. These moments are forever imprinted on my heart. 💜

What’s one skill, recipe, or tradition you’re teaching and passing down to the next generation? Tell me in the comments! 👇

There’s something extra special about the last sunflower patch to bloom.

I’ve been enjoying my nightly visits as these beautiful blooms slowly open up, soaking in the peacefulness of this little place that brings me so much joy. Knowing that before long, the flowers will dry up and become special treats for all the birds.

This piece of land is more than just a patch of flowers, it has become a little corner of happiness that I’m so thankful we’ve been able to share with those who have come to capture photos and make memories here too.

For now, I’ll keep enjoying these golden blooms while they last, and appreciate them in all their beauty.
