Little chilly this morning! Hot or cold, farmers never take a day off. That being said, we're hauling another group of steers to Farm Country Butchery in Conrath this week and have a quarter available! Save the steaks for warmer weather, but fire up the crockpot!

We've had a great calving season with only a few left to go. Wanted to highlight the oldest cow in the herd, the first beef cow I purchased to start it all. 45-30 was a springing heifer in 2013 from the Ted Pydo farm. She was consigned to an auction put on by the North Central Wisconsin's Cattleman's Association. I purchased her as an eager 4-H kid looking to try something new. Since then she has had a calf every year, including this heifer calf that we welcomed a few days ago, her 13th calf!
