Had a nice stretch of weather to make some hay! Baled and wrapped some second crop grass and third crop alfalfa. We plan to feed this hay to the calves after they're weaned. Always fun putting Tommy's wrapper to work!

Attended the Price County Carcass Show last night. Jesse and Kerigan won Grand and Reserve Champion Carcass with their market steers! Both steers graded prime, ribeyes were in the mid 14s and both dressed around 63%. These will be some good eating beef! Huge thank you to Farm Country Butchery in Conrath for hosting the carcass show!

Another Price County Fair in the books! Jesse walked away with Reserve Champion Market Steer and Kerigan had top Rate of Gain! Can't show enough appreciation for these two, from helping work cattle on the farm to training and showing steers for the fair. Proud to have animals of this caliber come from a family farm right here in Price County. Huge thank you to Kohel Drywall and Hallstrand Angus for purchasing these market steers!

We purchased a Tuff Built chute and alleyway at Farm Tech Days. We tested it out this week while breeding cows. Ran 24 cows through the chute to artificially inseminate. We've AI'd cows for years to tighten our calving window and diversify genetics in the herd.

Hot summers call for making hay! Spent the last couple of weeks making 468 round bales for the beef. We also filled a silo and a silage bag.

Looks like we'll need to make room for one more on our pasture rides! The next steak-loving Lebal coming soon!

Anyone in need of a 1/2 beef? We have a group going in next week and have a 1/2 available. This will be the last group we'll have going in for a couple months based on what we have for animals. Message us if interested!

Little chilly this morning! Hot or cold, farmers never take a day off. That being said, we're hauling another group of steers to Farm Country Butchery in Conrath this week and have a quarter available! Save the steaks for warmer weather, but fire up the crockpot!
