Our team is partnering with Chautauqua Co Soil and Water, WNY Crop Management, and the Vanstrom Homestead to bring you a pasture walk and hands-on workshop series. Topics include multi-species grazing, forage sampling/results interpretation, soil sampling/results interpretation, and a high tensile fence installment.

Saturday June 20th, 11am - 2pm

$15 per person. Lunch included.

Sam made a PR w 10 sheep sheared this morning, the cows got to come say hi, and a lil sneak peak at our biggest current project (its almost done!!!!). Now, happy Preakness!! 🌼

Happy Mother's Day from our newest group of moms-to-be to all of you A-mazing ladies!!

Yesterday was a loooong day but we successfully made it to the Hudson River and back. We stopped to fish and suprise a dear friend along the way. These four girls are registered Tunis, a dual purpose breed with great maternal traits and fine wool. We're excited to see what their Texel cross lambs will look like. 😊

So many things going on... here's one that's super exciting!! June 20 come hang out at the farm!!!
We're hosting our first pasture walk in... a while. Soil & Water, WNY Crop, NYBPA and the regional CCE folks will be there too. And there's lunch. 😁

This is hard to post but unless you're already on the list, we won't be selling just 40 # boxes of ground beef for a while. We'll still have whole/half/quarters available for you to get your ground fix though. The economics just don't make sense for us to pay processing and then lose money selling only the cheapest cuts. Cuz let's be honest, who is buying a bunch of steak rn right?

We've got some stock in the freezers and butcher dates coming in May and September. Bulk beef will be $4.50 # hanging weight plus you pay the butcher. Lambs are going in September as well $7 # same. Thank you to all our lovely customers, friends and family for supporting us these last 10 years (!!!!) and we hope everyone fares well in these times.

Building season continues!! Needed another brooder box and chicken tractor... so we've been busy. Got most of it done before the rain hit today. Then we found a suprise!! Lamby #26 is a cute girl. Gonna officially call it on lambing for the year, calves should start dropping soon though. Eeek!!

January is OVER!!! Let's celebrate w $10 chickens - these are all btwn 2 and 3 # each and will make beautiful lil date night meals. ❤️
