Words don’t even begin to describe how we feel about last night.
It was our first time opening our family farm up for an event like this. We had done a few u-picks, but never a full on event like this. It was nerve wracking and full of lots of work behind the scenes to make it happen… but you truly blew our expectations out of the water.
We counted OVER 700 large stems before we started. That did not include the wildflowers, snapdragons, celosia and other filler flowers. That was solely sunflowers, zinnias & dahlias. When we wrapped up our workout at 5:45 and walked out of the trees to the flowers… it was incredible to see.
We were hoping for 30-40 people to start and I think there were that many vehicles right at 5! You truly blew us away and we are so incredibly grateful. We weren’t sure how many people would come out to rural Kenneth, but this truly shows how much community still lives in the rural areas.
THANK YOU for loving our flowers and picking em clean. There are already new blooms this morning so we will likely have a u-pick coming next week AND we’re already talking through another event in September yet… stay tuned!
THANK YOU for shopping all of our vendors. We had great feedback and most had one of their best nights ever. As a small business owner ourselves, you truly made our day showing up for the vendors as much as you did.
THANK YOU to the ladies that rocked the live workout with Andrea. It was a blast and her first time teaching live — great to sweat together!
We’re working on some more events to come… so make sure you stay up-to-date with our social media page(s) to be in the loop! The flowers will be back in full force in a week or so and pumpkins will be ready too! We will have lots of fun to come.
And YES — we will plant more flowers next year AND have our extra dahlia tubers available as well.
