Wow so thankful to be a part of a community that gives back to our youth!

$1,734,427 invested in our youth. ❤️

For another record-breaking year, the Benton Franklin Fair Market Stock Auction showed just how strongly our community supports the next generation.

A grand total of $1,734,427 is going directly to our youth livestock exhibitors. For many, those dollars will help pay for college, fund next year’s livestock projects and support the goals they’ve been working toward long after Fair week ends.

This is our mission in action: developing young leaders through hands-on agricultural experiences that build responsibility, resilience and real-world skills, strengthening our community for generations to come.

To every buyer who raised a hand, every sponsor who helped make the auction possible, and every exhibitor who spent months putting in the work, thank you. This record belongs to all of you.

What a way to close out 2026. We’re already excited to see what these young leaders accomplish next and what 2027 has in store!

Wow we are excited for this opportunity for our girls!

📣 WASHINGTON SHORTHORN FAMILIES — WE NEED YOU! 📣

We’re excited to announce the beginning of the Washington Junior Shorthorn Association (WJSA)! ❤️🤍

For a long time, Washington has needed a stronger way to bring our Shorthorn juniors and families together, create more opportunities for our youth, and help grow the Shorthorn breed here in our state. We’re ready to change that — but we need our Shorthorn community behind us!

WJSA is being built with the goal of giving Washington juniors opportunities to learn, show, compete, build friendships, develop leadership skills, and become more involved in the Shorthorn breed.

Right now, we are working on getting the association officially organized, and one of the most important things we can do is find out who is out there and who wants to be involved!

🐮 Do you have a child interested in Shorthorns?
🐮 Are you a Washington Shorthorn breeder?
🐮 Have you been involved with Shorthorns in the past?
🐮 Would you be interested in supporting, volunteering, sponsoring, or helping build opportunities for our juniors?

We want to hear from you!

Comment below, send the WJSA page a message, and most importantly, SHARE this post so we can reach Shorthorn families throughout Washington.

This association will take a community to build. Whether you have one Shorthorn or an entire herd, are brand new to the breed or have been involved for generations, there is a place for you here.

We have a lot of work ahead of us, but we also have an incredible opportunity to build something lasting for Washington’s Shorthorn youth.

❤️🤍 Let’s give our juniors something to be proud to be part of.

Washington Junior Shorthorn Association
Growing juniors. Growing the breed. Building the future.
