Edit: we are back on!
Edit: on a brief hold until GoFundMe shows my corrections š
There have been a lot of ups and downs over the past year. After leaving federal service, we've faced more challenges than victories. There have been countless conversations, long moments of silence, and many prayers as we've tried to figure out what our next chapter would look like.
Through it all, one thing has never changed, our passion for serving people through food and our belief that Abair's can continue to grow.
Today, we're asking for your help.
Many of you know us as the husband & wife team behind Abair's. Over the past few years, we've had the honor of serving our community through weddings, birthdays, corporate events, festivals, and family gatherings. Every meal we've prepared has been made with love, hard work, and the dream of building something that brings people together.
We're excited to share that we've found our next step.
For the past year, I've been trying to find my way back into working for someone or something else. Looking back, I realize I may have been overlooking the opportunity that had been right in front of me all along.
Abair's has always been more than a business to us. it's our way of serving others, bringing people together through food, and giving back to our community. We've realized that this is where our hearts are and where we're being called to focus our energy.
Instead of taking on the enormous expense of opening a brick-and-mortar restaurant, we're taking a more practical step by renting a licensed mobile food trailer for one year. This will allow us to serve more communities (including those east of Snoqualmie Pass.. we miss you Tri), attend more events, accept more catering opportunities, and continue growing while working toward owning a trailer of our own one day.
To make this happen, we've launched a GoFundMe to help cover the trailer rental, health department fees, permits, insurance, and startup costs.
If you've ever enjoyed one of our meals, shared a kind word about our business, or simply believe in supporting local family-owned businesses, we'd be incredibly grateful if you'd consider supporting our campaign. No donation is too small, and if you're not able to give, sharing this post with your friends and family would mean just as much.
As a small token of our appreciation, we'd love to thank those who help make this dream possible. While your support means the world to us regardless of the amount, we've created a few thank-you gifts to show our gratitude.
⢠$25+ ā A personalized thank-you on our social media pages.
⢠$50+ ā A handwritten thank-you card and a complimentary dessert voucher.
⢠$100+ ā A meal for two from our food trailer once we're open or food drop-off.
⢠$250+ ā A family meal package to enjoy with your loved ones.
⢠$500+ ā A VIP Founding Supporter package, including a $600 catering credit, recognition on our āFounding Supportersā board displayed at our trailer, exclusive invitations to tasting events, and 10% off meals for life.
⢠$1,000+ ā A VIP Founding Supporter package, including a $1,250 catering credit, recognition on our āFounding Supportersā board displayed at our trailer, exclusive invitations to tasting events, and 20% off meals for life.
Thank you for believing in us, supporting local businesses, and being part of this journey. We can't wait to cook for you.
With gratitude,
