Another fleece we’re incredibly proud of belongs to Badger Canyon’s Destined King, proudly co-owned with Alpacachino Ranch! Now a 2-year-old breeding male, Destined King has already brought home two banners this fleece show season, along with even more advanced fleece awards. We couldn’t be happier with the way his fleece continues to perform and the consistency he is showing as he matures. We absolutely love this male and are so proud of his continued success. Now comes the exciting part—watching his first offspring and hoping they follow in their sire’s footsteps!

We are incredibly proud of Sopris Whiskey River (co-owned with Sopris Alpaca Farm)! He brought home both Best crimp and Reserve champion Huacaya male at PAOBA with his first fleece!! This male has a very bright future and we can’t wait to see what comes next.

Watching fleeces like these develop is always one of our favorite things to watch! It’s why we always recommend if you can, to take pictures of your cria’s as they develop because it’s always cool to see how a fleece changes over time. This gorgeous fleece belongs to one of our favorites from last year Badger Canyon’s Valrhona. Her dam is due with full sibling any day now and we’re curious to watch that cria develop.

Congratulations to our great friends over at Tire Swing Farm on these two beauties!!! The gorgeous grey girl is a daughter of Crescent Moon’s Nicaeus! And the handsome male is a son of Badger Canyon’s Destined King! They are both stunning and we look forward to watching them grow up!

How has it already been 6 years since we first stepped foot in a show ring?!

In just six short years, we have grown more than we ever could have imagined, and so much of the success we’ve experienced can be credited to the incredible people who have supported, guided, and believed in us along the way.

We want to give a massive thank you to all of the farms who have helped us get to where we are today. Your guidance, mentorship, knowledge, and willingness to share your experiences have meant more to us than we can put into words. We truly could not have done it without you.

And to all of the other small farms out there trust us when we say, YOU CAN DO IT! 🙌

Our success didn’t happen overnight, and it certainly wasn’t a fluke. It came from making thoughtful and correct breeding decisions, making smart purchases, surrounding ourselves with knowledgeable mentors, and constantly learning and improving along the way.

Six years ago, we were just stepping into the show ring and dreaming about what our program could become. Today, we’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come and we’re even more excited for what the future holds.

Keep believing in your program. Keep learning. Keep making the right decisions. And trust us you will get there!

We are a little late announcing our latest cria arrival, but here he is! Introducing Badger Canyon’s Prince Tourbillon (pronounced: tour-be-yon)! This guy is simply incredible! His fleece is dense+++, and bright+++. To top it off he is a very cool shade of roan!

Along with all of that we want to give a massive congratulations to our good friends Evelyn and Kenneth Williams over at White Oak Ranch. They purchased this handsome guy in utero along with his mama! He seems to have a very bright future ahead of him.

We are very excited to share our results from the 2026 PAOBA fleece show!!

To start off, Badger Canyon’s Destined King (proudly co-owned with Alpacachino Ranch) won reserve champion making it his 21st banner, and he also won his 11th advanced fleece award!! As a breeding male, it is incredibly exciting to see him still exhibiting such advanced fleece characteristics!

Then the incredible Sopris Whiskey River (proudly co-owned with Sopris Alpaca Farm) won reserve champion making it his 7th banner, and along with that, he won his second best crimp award!! And in total he scored 86/100!!

And along with them we are very proud to say that none of our other entries place below 3rd.
