We've received a lot of questions recently, so we wanted to clear up some misinformation and share an update.
Yes, our original estate vineyard is currently being removed. As many of you know, the vineyard is located in the middle of a growing residential neighborhood, and the property is being developed.
However, Badger Mountain Vineyard & Winery and Powers Winery are not closing.
We are still producing wine, selling wine online and through retailers across the country, and continuing our commitment to crafting exceptional Washington wines.
While we are saddened to see our original estate vineyard come to an end, its legacy will continue. Before redevelopment began, we completed a 1-to-1 replanting of the vineyard on the other side of Badger Mountain. In fact, cuttings from the original estate vines were used to establish portions of the new vineyard, creating a direct connection between the past and the future of our vineyards.
Today, those vines are already established and growing, ensuring that the spirit of our estate vineyard lives on for generations to come.
This vineyard has been part of our story for decades, and saying goodbye is not easy. But while we are honoring its history, we are also excited for what lies ahead. The new vineyard represents the next chapter of our journey, one that allows us to continue growing, farming, and making the wines you know and love.
Thank you for your support as we begin this next chapter. We hope you'll enjoy these photos of the vineyard that's carrying our story into the future.
