For those used to buy brewing supplies from Growmasters in Gurnee, Il, you may recognize this grain mill. When they decided to stop selling brewing supplies, I made a offer on their mill table and they happily accepted. This mill has crushed may thousands of pounds of grain and has served many homebrewers in the Wisconsin and northern Illinois area and i felt the need to add it to my setup. As you can see, I removed the motor and took it out of the table so it was easier to use in my home. Before setting it up for use in my home it was given a deep clean and some fresh lubricant in the bushings. When reassembled, It tore through 14 lbs of grain in just under a minute and those grains were used to make a Scottish Wee Heavy that will be served at the Dairy State Cheese & Beer Festival in April.
