It’s almost fair seasonnnnn!

So I made something special for yall to get ya ready. This THURSDAY we’ll have hot Italian sausage sandwiches.

House made Italian sausage. It’s honestly a cross between hot and sweet Italian sausages. Fennel, basil, oregano, marjoram, red chili flake…etc. Double smoked like all our sausage so it’s SNAPPY. Topped with a lil mild giardiniera for some crunch on a nice lil sausage roll.

It’s good with the mustard sauce too…just sayin. Feel free to ask.

We have around 80 links, so if we don’t run through them all tomorrow, we’ll do them Friday as well.

Hours updated! We’re open Thursday - Sunday 11-6pm (or until we sell out) starting today!

We went a little light on some things since new days are inconsistent at first, but we’ll have allllll the normal stuff. Burgers, meatloaf sandwiches, both puddings, cookies…etc etc

I thought I wrote that out as succinctly as possible, but I guess some people still aren’t getting it.

Closed today. (Thursday the 2nd)

Open tomorrow. (Friday the 3rd)

Closed from 7/4-7/15

Open 7/16. (And Thursdays-Sundays AFTER THAT)

We’re trying something a little different this year for the fourth. Usually we close that full week, buuuuuut…

We will be OPEN on July 3rd, and then CLOSE from July 4th - July 15th.

We will REOPEN on July 16th and the normal bbq hours will become Thursday - Sunday 11am - 6pm (or until we sell out.

I think we’ve got it ironed out enough to smoothly add Thursdays in. We’ll see how it goes after that. 😄

One of the coolest things about this whole bbq thing is how many interesting, talented people we run into on what seems like a daily basis.

We ran into Kevin Dine YEARS ago. He’d stop in for lunch at the bbq trailer, and eventually from talking with him…we learned he was an artist.

When we were working on the building he approached us with some ideas for a mural. I drove around and looked at some of his other work and it was COOL…so once we got settled in the building, we let him have at it.

The blue house that used to sit on the corner? It used to be a bar called Sadie’s place way back in the 30’s. Sullys Tavern was built next door in the 50s and then lil ol joes bbq came around in 2017, first in tent form…then in bbq trailer form (built by my uncle Bob, who is also extremely talented), and then in building form. Nearly 100 years of this corners history is shown in this painting…and I think that’s pretty dang cool.

Thanks Kevin, for putting your touch on our building. It’s sick.
