This explains the challenges we farmers have faced this growing season. Especially from August into September, with temperatures constantly above 95 degrees during the day.

When was the last time we had 100-degree days into the middle of September?

Dixie Chile Ranch Update:
On July 7th lighting struck the tall pine tree that is just 21’ from my office. It proceeded to take out our UPC and then continued into our business computer and took out the motherboard. Luckily it spared the hard-drive.
However we don’t have access to our customer email addresses so we haven’t been able to send our weekly updates.
We are currently working with our insurance and our IT provider to get things back in order.

We are loaded with produce tomatoes canners, sungold cherry tomatoes, peppers,(hot and sweet), okra, eggplant, cucumbers, and peaches.

Also in Union City you can stop by Armour Fresh Produce in front of Little Caesar’s and Higher Ground. They are selling a large variety of what we grow.
