I have come to the difficult decision to no longer raise and breed peafowl due to my declining health. This is my last remaining peacock and peahen, who are 3 year-old Black Shoulder India Blue pied brother and sister. They are absolutely STUNNING.
Their father is a Black Shoulder India Blue split to white, and their mother is a Pied black shoulder India Blue.
They are due for parasite treatment (both internal and external), which was last done in January using Safeguard.
They will need an Aviary, as the male's train, when fully fanned, is around 5 feet tall. His dad's was 6 ft, so be prepared for that as he gets older.
For those of you who don't know, this is the time of year when the hens stop laying until the next spring, and the males lose, or "drop", their train (tail feathers), and grow new ones. My male just started dropping his train last week, so it's the perfect time for transport...no broken tail feathers!
They are $500 each, or $800 if you take both.
