While we may have been quiet on social media, it’s been anything but quiet here on the farm this spring. Our first batch of broiler chickens are in the freezer, the second batch of broilers are growing fabulously out in the pasture, the baby turkeys are itching to leave the brooder, and the garden is really starting to pump out the blooms and berries!

One really exciting addition includes the installation of our brand new, self-serve farm stand! It’s still waiting for its glow-up (aka landscaping & decorating 😂) but that’ll happen eventually. **If you’re unfamiliar with our location, we are located right off of RT 250 just 2 miles from Ferncliff, 10 minutes from Zion Crossroads, and 25 minutes from Charlottesville, at 19 Grace Johnson Ln in Kents Store.

We will have some peony bunches available at the Farm Stand starting Friday afternoon (5/8), and we will restock the stand again Saturday afternoon, and once again Sunday morning, pending availability. The Farm Stand can accept payment via Venmo, cash, or credit card.

This Saturday (5/9) also marks our first day back at The Farmers Market at IX! 😍We have missed you all SO MUCH, and look forward to seeing all of your smiling faces bright and early Saturday morning! (Also REALLY looking forward to our favorite scones from that we have missed so much 😋). We will have some peony bunches with us, as well as our fully restocked pasture-raised chicken. 🐓 🦃 🍽️ 💐

I do find it rude that this watering can has been totally fine up until now, and it wasn’t until I put organic fertilizer that costs $7 per OUNCE in it that we suddenly now have an issue. 🫠
