Spann Vineyards We grew up on European wines, and built our wines on the European model of food-friendliness, complexity, balance, and elegance.

After a 50-year career in the wine & food business, including 22 years at Spann Vineyards, we've retired and now share our experiences and knowledge via our Wine Food & Travel blog. We continue to enjoy the world of wine, food and travel and love new experiences.

Planning to lead a Culture & Wine tour of Rome, Umbria & Tuscany in May 2027, we hosted a tasting of the top wine regions of Tuscany; 2 Chianti Classico Riservas, Brunello di Montalcinos, Super Tuscan & this 2019 Chianti Rufina Riserva, which our tasting group chose as the best of the night. More info on our tour will be forthcoming as the itinerary is finalized.
