I am still offering a replacement fertilizer knife for John Deere single disc fertilizer openers. If you are having issues with plugging, wearing out quickly and splattering of fertilizer, this replacement knife will correct all of those issues. Let me know if I can help you. I have replacements for early style 7200/1700 series, NT Style 1 & NT Style 2.

David Moeller's 35 years of service to farmers in southeast Iowa has elevated farming practices in our area. We are honored to carry out his legacy and transition the Precision Planting Premier dealership from Moeller Ag Service, Inc.

We want to take a moment to introduce you to the team behind Advanced Field Solutions and ensure southeast Iowa farmers that you have a trusted team of precision technology experts to serve you.

Jerad and Amy Ropp live in Kalona, Iowa. Jerad is the tech-savvy employee of Faith Farms, runs the trucking business, rents acres personally, and has a 20 head goat herd. Amy is the oldest child of Darrell and Carmen Steele and works part time at the University of Iowa Hospital as a nurse. They have three children: Braxton (12), Bria (12), and Cameron (10). Some of their hobbies include baseball/softball, camping, deer hunting, and showing goats.

Jenna and Andrew Schneider - Jenna is the middle child of Darrell and Carmen. She has a degree in agronomy from Iowa State University and is also employed by Faith Farms, where she does bookkeeping, farm data record analysis, runs equipment as needed, and also rents acres personally. Andrew works at Syngenta Seeds in Lone Tree, IA, as a soybean agronomist. They have three children: Mason (12), Lindsey (9), and Morgan Mae (6). Their family lives 5 miles south of Washington. Along with row crop farming, they have a 50 head cow/calf operation, 20 head of goats, and custom feed pigs. Their hobbies include raising pumpkins, deer hunting, showing goats and cattle, and the kids sporting activities.

What great turnout for our 2024 Planter Clinic. We had 70 plus Customer/Farmers learn about new products and planter maintenance, along with a 20/20 monitor refresher course after lunch. We had representatives on hand from Martin Industries, Harvest International Planters & Wear Parts Tillage Tools. Thank you everyone for taking time out of your busy schedule to attend this event.

New Harvest International planter started in the field planting soybeans at 7mph. This planter is set up for high speed using Reveal row cleaners, Conceal fertilizer system, SpeedTubes, VSet2/VDrive, SmartFirmers, EMHD/EM FlowSense controlling liquid application row by row & FurrowForce.

This is a short video clip of Reveal row cleaner from Precision Planting running in rye cover crop. There has been a lot of corn planted in SE Iowa, with the first planting starting to come up.

Spent a little time on 4/29/23 riding a planter to get some video of Precision Planting FurrowForce with 20gpa of liquid being applied behind. Conditions were good with furrow moisture of 40% and soil temp was right at 60 degrees.

We are still working our way through planters before they start to roll. This JD 1770NT 24 row planter was updated to Reveal row cleaners from Precision Planting, wing tanks for fertilizer and 400gal nose tank on the tractor for extra nitrogen carrying capacity.

Another interesting week at the shop. Had an Allis Chalmers 8030 tractor that came in with a problem of when clutch was pushed down, the tractor would still keep moving. After troubleshooting with pressure gauges, determined power shift valve had a problem. It took awhile to find, but the spool stop in picture shows new stop versus stop we found in valve had “C” shaped piece broke and stuck in spool above inching spool.
