❤️🇺🇸 AMERICANA PICNIC RECAP 🇺🇸❤️

It’s been a few days, but I wanted to share some highlights from our day at the Clovis Veterans Memorial District Americana Picnic!

First, meet our Taste Code Helper of the Day — Amber! 🤗

She spent the day helping at the booth, greeting customers, keeping me company, and making sure I stayed fed. 😆

We had a great time meeting new faces, connecting with fellow vendors, and enjoying a beautiful day celebrating community and 80 years of service.

And yes… we had to support some of our neighboring vendors too! 😋 Fresh spring rolls from Viet-Thai Fusion and a giant corn dog from The Corndog Company Fresno definitely hit the spot.

She’s always checking in on us vendors, making sure we’re surviving the heat 😆, and supporting local food businesses every step of the way.

The Clovis Culinary Center isn’t just a kitchen—it’s a community, and Kris is a big part of what makes it special. ❤️

One thing I love about vendor life is that we’re all in this together—supporting each other’s businesses while serving our community.

☕️ Wake Up With the Chamber!

Started the morning with the Kerman Chamber of Commerce for Coffee & Connections. Great conversations, warm coffee, local business owners, and updates from our City Manager.

A special shoutout to Rhonda Tate from Morgan James Boutique ❤️ Rhonda is one of those people who truly believes in supporting local businesses and building community connections. It was great catching up and spending the morning with fellow Chamber members who continue to invest in Kerman’s future.

Thank you to City Manager John Jansons for sharing updates and taking questions from our local business community.

And let’s be honest… the biscuits, breakfast sandwiches, and coffee didn’t hurt either. 😆☕🥐

🌴☕🍬🥭🍲 Taste Code Recap

Today was one of those “I’m just stopping by for a minute” kind of days… and somehow turned into a full food adventure. 😆

Made a quick stop at the Clovis Culinary Center and the kitchen was ALL the way live! Valley Food Dude, LLC Cali Jalapenos Neicy’s Plates Dads Cookies Bakers, coffee roasters, chefs, and food entrepreneurs doing their thing. I love seeing people chase their dreams and build something from the ground up. ❤️

Of course, I had to support Cali’s Coffee House ☕️ while I was there. That fireside ☕️😋

Then I got my spicy candy fix from a local Kerman home baker. 🌶️🍍🍬 Steph | cheesecake expert + home baker

Next stop was a potluck, and naturally I brought my Mango Sago. 🥭🥥

Sunday dinner after a busy vendor weekend. 🥩🥔🫛

Tonight was cast iron London broil, creamy mashed potatoes, and green beans with breakfast ham steak (because inflation said bacon wasn’t invited 😅).

Thought I ruined the steak with a seasoning paste, cooked it a little more rare than I normally like, then finished it with melted butter… and it was 🔥.

A reminder that good food doesn’t have to be fancy. Sometimes it’s just gathering around the table, making the best of what you have, and ending the day grateful.
