From all of us at The Black Rabbit, Short Street Bakehouse, and Short Street Kitchen, we’re wishing a fantastic birthday to one of the most solid chefs around — and quite possibly one of the best kept culinary secrets in the Triad.

Chef Marc is the calm, steady presence in the kitchen… which is no small task considering the daily fray of strong personalities, big ideas, and the occasional dramatic moment happening around him. Somehow he just rolls with it, keeps cooking, and carries on like it’s all perfectly normal.

We appreciate your patience, your talent, and your ability to go with the flow. Not everyone could survive this crowd — but you do it with style.

As we honor the quiet of winter, we’re also looking forward to what’s next. On January 5, The Black Rabbit steps into a new chapter with the launch of our café menu at Short Street Café—a thoughtfully crafted daytime offering rooted in comfort, creativity, and a touch of the unexpected.
