Fun fact about cotton patch geese is that they are breed to be auto-sexing at hatch!
Auto-sexing means you can tell males from females just by the coloring of their down feathers after they are dry from hatching.

On the left is a gander (male), he is most likely going to be either pied or solid grey once he has his adult feathers. You are able to tell he is male because he is super light grey and yellow, with a pink beak.

On the right is a goose (female) (not a great picture) you can see she is a really dark grey and yellow, with a black beak. She will also be either pied or solid grey once she gets her adult feathers
