The end of an era.

For the last five years, this little room has been home to The Kerr County Lead and Louis Amestoy's relentless coverage of the news, events, and stories that shape Kerr County.

Pint & Plow was built to create community, and community can't thrive without trusted local journalism. It keeps us informed, holds elected officials accountable, documents our history as it happens, and tells the stories that make this place special.

Louis is a force, and forces need space to flex. We've been proud to support Louis, and we'll keep doing it as he outgrows our little space and moves on to fancier pastures on the third floor of the Kerrville Tower, across from little H-E-B.

Thank you, Louis. Go get 'em.

"Let it Grow" Golden Ale

Inspired by the legendary riparian ecologist Steve Nelle and his contributions to post-flood recovery efforts in Kerr County.

Our current seasonal is a Pilsner base combined with Munich and caramel malts to create a low and slow summer sunset of a b**r. Rich gold color and layers of flavor that finish crisp and clean.

Contributions of $10 or more to the Kerr County River Foundation gets you a pint of Let it Grow and a chance to win a new Perception Tribe 9.5 kayak from Kerrville Kayak and Canoe. Raffle tickets can be purchased at Pint & Plow - drawing at Salsa Fest at Trailhead B**r Garden August 29th, 2026. (Do not need to be present to win)

Pint & Plow's doors are open for normal operations today. As we begin a new phase of recovery, what we're working on:

1. Restarting our relief kitchen, just in case. World Central Kitchen will be taking 100 bagged lunches on a scouting trip today to assess need for prepared food as folks begin another round of cleanup and our community begins a new phase of long term recovery.

2. Continued infrastructure support for the The Kerr County Lead, which operates from their digital studio at Pint & Plow. Our facility and service is open 24/7 to The Lead so they can continue to provide valuable information and updates to our community.

3. Long-term Recovery for the Guadalupe River watershed. Pint & Plow and its employees continue to work closely with the Kerr County River Foundation and other local and regional stewardship organizations to protect the Guadalupe River watershed in Kerr County. Look for a special seasonal release "Let It Grow" later this month to benefit KCRF river restoration efforts.

Take it slow, stay safe, come take a break and say hey when you can.
