Still have ½ a grass-finished steer available at Willows Farm — and we’re getting close.

A few folks have been asking questions, but it hasn’t been claimed yet… so here it is again.

If you’ve ever thought about buying beef in bulk, this is the one move that changes how you eat at home:
• Your freezer is full
• You know exactly where your beef comes from
• And you’re not paying retail every time you want a good steak

This one can still be split into quarters if that makes it easier.

Most families that do this once end up doing it every year — because the quality and consistency just isn’t comparable to store-bought beef.

Processing is coming up soon, so decisions will need to be made.

If you want in, now’s the time — send me a message and I’ll walk you through it.

We’ve got ½ a grass-finished steer available at Willows Farm — ready in the next couple weeks. Can be split into quarters.

If you’ve been thinking about filling your freezer with good, clean beef, this is a great opportunity.

Our cattle are:
• 100% grass-raised and grass-finished
• No grain, no hormones, no antibiotics
• Raised right here on our farm

How it works:
You buy a share and work directly with the butcher to have it cut exactly how you want it — steak thickness, roast sizes, ground beef packaging, etc.

Rough numbers:
• Whole steer: ~675 lbs hanging weight
• Half: ~337 lbs
• Quarter: ~170 lbs
• A quarter usually yields 105–120 lbs of packaged beef, depending on your cut choices

You’ll get a mix of steaks, roasts, and ground beef — plus anything extra you want like bones or organs.

Price:
$6.50/lb hanging weight + butcher cost

Most folks end up around $7–$9/lb all-in across everything.

For comparison, typical grocery store prices on grass-finished beef:
• Ribeyes: $18–$25/lb
• NY strip: $15–$22/lb
• Ground beef: $7–$10/lb

With a bulk share, your steaks end up costing about the same as your hamburger.

If you care about where your food comes from and want a freezer full of beef done your way, this is hard to beat.

Send me a message if you’re interested or want to grab a quarter — happy to answer any questions.

…choosing which custom options fits your needs best.

One of our favorite custom cuts that always makes it on to our cut sheets is Minute Steaks!

This is the cut we reach for when we need a quick, tasty dinner or a scrumptious, hearty lunch! Minute steaks (or SteakUms) thaw quickly and are super tender. Our go to recipes are beef and broccoli & steak sandwiches with onions and cheese on a hoagie.

You can get as many as you like in our custom beef share options in addition to all the other customizable cuts.

We have whole, half, and quarter shares available now! Place your deposit at the link in our bio.

There’s nothing cuter than a freshly tagged calf with a polite momma 😆

We tag our heifers on the left ear and our bull calves on the right ear and write their mommas number on the back. Not all the mommas are quite this agreeable so we took full advantage of the chance for cuddles!
