andfather and father (Jerry) transitioned the Farm to a cow/calf beef operation! Mark and Elizabeth took over the Farm and it's operations in 2013 after the untimely death of Jerry. Since then we have transitioned to a grass-fed beef model. In 2020, The Farm at the Pines began selling farm-raised pork cuts! We are licensed to sell our beef and pork directly to consumers...there's nothing better than farm to table food! We offer our customers a healthy grass-fed beef product, born and raised on our Century (plus!) Farm in a natural, humane, and happy cow environment. Well look who got evicted from her single barn stable….GG!

It’s time she joined the herd. Shes had a little difficulty with the transition-she keeps hanging around the barnyard door wanting to go in. But I think with her continuing to get her milk while out in the pasture her comfort level will increase.

Change takes some getting use to for sure!

We’ve been in a bit of a heat wave lately, but hopefully the next few days bring us some much needed rain 🌧️ That should make for some pretty good conditions for sweet corn planting!

You can definitely tell it’s a little dry out here with the dust cloud following the planter 🤦‍♀️🚜🌽

Here’s hoping for plenty of rain, sunshine, and a good sweet corn crop this year! 🤞🌱

Shew after working outside today, it’s nice to just sit on the porch, enjoy the breeze, and listen to some wind chimes 🎶

We’ve got 2 more days of heat before the temps are back in the 60s and we *hopefully* get some rain 🤞

(And yes, those are cow 🐮 wind chimes…a wonderful Mother’s Day gift from my momma!)

Motherhood on the farm is equal parts chaos and blessing 🤎

Cold tea, endless laundry, chasing kids climbing hay bales, refereeing sibling arguments, wiping muddy boots, and somehow keeping everyone fed in between chores. Some days it feels like we’re just trying to keep the herd alive 😂☕️

But truly…what a gift it is.

To raise babies with dirt on their feet, fresh air in their lungs, and a front row seat to this beautiful farm life — there’s nothing I’d trade for it. Even on the loud, messy, exhausting days, being their mom is still my greatest blessing.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas out there raising their herd the best they can 💐🐄

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…we are SO fortunate to raise these kids on the farm. ❤️

They spend their days climbing hay bales, “going on adventures” through the woods, chasing barn cats, and yes…playing with sticks and cow patties. 🤦‍♀️😂

It may not always be clean, quiet, or Pinterest-worthy, but it’s a childhood full of fresh air, imagination, and freedom—and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. 🌾🚜

🌮➡️🌯 Taco Tuesday… with a twist!

Last night’s dinner: homemade Beef Enchiladas using our 100% grass-fed, grass-finished ground beef 🤤

And let me just say—when I call this beef lean, I mean LEAN. There was absolutely nothing to drain after browning… 🙌 one less step = this mom is happy!

I made these thinking I’d switch things up a bit, and of course Ted hits me with:
“Why aren’t we having tacos if it’s Tuesday?” 😂
Tried to explain it’s basically in the same family… but his pickiness won out and he passed.

Good news though—everyone else in the house LOVED them! 💛
And honestly, it doesn’t get much better than a meal that you can prep, cook, and eat in under 30 minutes. That’s my kind of weeknight win!

👉 Enchiladas or tacos—which are you picking?

🥩🎉 May is National Beef Month! 🎉🥩

There’s no better time to celebrate one of our favorite things—BEEF—and the farmers who raise it with care every single day. Right here on our farm, we take pride in raising high-quality, 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef for your family. 🌱🐄

Did you know?
✔️ Angus beef is known for its incredible marbling, tenderness, and rich flavor
✔️ Angus cattle are naturally efficient and produce consistently high-quality beef
✔️ It’s one of the most popular beef breeds in the U.S.—and for good reason!

Why choose grass-fed, grass-finished beef?
💪 Typically leaner, with beneficial nutrients like Omega-3 fatty acids
🌎 Supports soil health and sustainable farming practices
❤️ No added hormones, ever

From our pastures to your plate, we’re proud to raise beef you can feel good about feeding your family.

Celebrate National Beef Month with us—stock up, fire up the grill, and taste the difference! 🔥🥩

🌱🐄 Farm Life in Action! 🌽

If you’ve ever wondered what happens before those delicious ears of sweet corn make it to your table—here’s a little behind-the-scenes look!

Over the weekend, our cows were hard at work in the corn patch, helping us clear out our cover crop as we get ready to plant sweet corn. This year’s mix was a powerhouse blend of triticale, forage peas, radishes, and crimson clover—building soil health, adding nutrients, and naturally keeping weeds in check. 💪🌿

We even had a few uncovered spots where pumpkins and squash grew last season… and wouldn’t you know it—the cows went straight for the chickweed first! Nothing goes to waste around here! 😄

With the ground now cleared, Mark will be working the soil next, and if the weather cooperates 🤞 we’ll be firing up the corn planter in the next couple of weeks!

Stay tuned… sweet corn season is on the horizon! 🌽✨

Girls be like: “I needed this” …and it’s just plant shopping, picking up groceries, and comparing the latest physical ailments 😂🌱🛒

Something as simple as spending time with a friend can turn a good day into a great one 💛

Last frost date is tomorrow…here’s to kicking the garden into high gear 🌿🚜

Happy World Book Day 📚🌱

I started the year with a solid goal: one non-fiction book a month… which has since evolved into one non-fiction book per quarter 😂

Spring and summer have a funny way of filling every spare minute around here, and reading tends to take a back seat. But I’ve learned it’s something I need to treat as part of my self-care—not just something I “get to if there’s time.”

Don’t get me wrong, fiction is still my go-to (sometimes you just need a good escape after a long day on the farm). But I’ve got a solid lineup waiting for me with these books. I have a feeling they’ll pull me in when I finally sit still long enough to crack them open.

Here’s your reminder (and mine) to slow down, grab a book, and feed your mind a little too 📖✨
