Sometimes the best surprises are those that aren’t expected. Meet Tinkerbell Tucker. We have always had a strong stance on mini-livestock. As in- they don’t truly serve a working purpose on our farm. And we now have Tinkerbell. Not planned. Not really what was on the “agenda”. But here we are. And she just fits in with Sadie and Lola as if she’s always been a part of our farm. We’re so happy to have her. 🩷

A huge shout out to for coming to the farm and snapping the most beautiful pictures. This is just one of many. So stay tuned for more. But since Frankie is our mascot (kidding- but really he is), figured I’d share this one of him and me. Sidenote- this was taken before he gave me the cold shoulder for moving his friends. These are his actual friends that we moved to a new pasture. He does love me. This is proof. 😉

Oh, Franklin! Every year, Frankie gets a new group of little lady friends to hang with and teach the ways of dealing with the humans on the farm. And every year, he gets a slight attitude towards me because I took his old friends and put them in a neighboring pasture- away from him. Here he is- giving me the cold shoulder. It’ll take a week or two for him to buddy up with the new babies, and soon he will forgive me. 💙

Sometimes, there are just one or two heifers that steal your heart and you think- you’re not going to market after all. This one was slated for market and wasn’t on our list as a replacement heifer. At the 11th hour, one of us decided she was a keeper. And convinced the other she was worth keeping. She’s now staying right here on the farm. Meet Lollie. 🩷
