Why do we ask parties of 7 or more to call ahead?
Because we want to make sure we can give your group the experience you came for.
We’re a small, locally owned restaurant with a small team, and we prepare our food fresh each day based on the number of guests we expect to serve. Some things can be made fairly quickly, while others, like our smoked brisket, take many hours and simply can’t be made on demand if we unexpectedly run out.
Our dining room is also cozy, and our tables aren’t always easy to rearrange once the room is full. While we do have a separate banquet room, it may already be reserved for a private event and isn’t always available for overflow seating.
Calling ahead for groups of 7 or more gives us the chance to make sure we have enough seating, enough freshly prepared food, and enough staff ready to take great care of your group.
Can you walk in with a large party? Absolutely. We’ll always do our best to accommodate you. But without advance notice, there may be a longer wait, your group may need to sit at separate tables, or we may not be able to seat everyone together.
A quick call ahead helps us plan for you, and helps make your visit much more enjoyable.
