Sea ice alone comes in a wide variety, and Arctic and Antarctic sea ice have unique vocabulary. For instance, only a few of the different types of sea ice that may be found at both the North and South poles are brash, frazil, nilas, and pancake ice. Knowing the difference between an iceberg and an icefoot, a bummock and a hummock, and a floe and a floeberg is essential if you're trying to navigate these places....
