We are headed to Good as Gold this morning with two consignments.

2412
Taquito ( Taco Truck) X Dot ( Beamer)

2412 is a full sib to the Champion Market goat at Minidoka County last year. She is also the twin to our lot 11 wether in this years Southern Idaho Select Sale.

We love the Taquitos for their eye catching profile and show ring appearance. While this doe is green she’s no exception.

2529

Fortunate Son ( Hitman) X Goose ( Maverick)

2529 is a full sib to the Reserve Champion Market Goat at Minidoka County, and Champion Light weight at Canyon County Fair last year.

Sometimes the doe you want to have wethers lays now and has triplet doe kids. We are keeping the other two, I convinced Joe we didn’t need a 3rd.

This doe handles like you would expect doubled up Maverick genetics to handle. She’s also on the green side, but her top shape doesn’t disappoint. ( Check the comments for a video on her)

🐑🐐 Getting started with halter breaking? Keep it simple.

Building trust is the foundation of a successful lamb or goat project — and it starts with the right approach from day one.

Use a small catch pen to calmly handle your animal, then spend a few minutes each day working on tying, handling, and eventually leading. Stay patient, avoid force, and focus on rewarding the right behavior.

Short, consistent sessions and ending on a positive note will go a long way in creating a calm, responsive animal in the ring. 💪
