Something, I suspect a skunk, has been digging into chicken shelters lately. We already had traps over there since it’s a common problem this time of year. The traps were set but not baited until we started having a problem. Once I saw digging around the edge of the shelters I baited the traps. The next couple of days I’d check traps only to find them flung feet away from where I set them. This made me think it must be a raccoon and not a skunk. Then I find this guy in one of them. Apparently piggies like the dog food I use for bait. He has been released and he went straight back to his momma. Hopefully he learned his lesson and leaves the traps alone.
