Two weeks of work and the goats are making a difference! ๐Ÿ๐ŸŒฑ

These photos show the before and after from the first paddock at Sun City, where the herd spent their first week of grazing. The transformation was impressive enough, but now theyโ€™re being moved off their second paddock tonight, and those before-and-after photos are included as well.

Targeted grazing is a great tool for reducing excess vegetation, managing problem plants, and improving access without the need for mowing or herbicides. Our goats have been hard at work tackling dense stands of Johnsongrass and other unwanted growth while turning it into fertilizer along the way.

Every move tells a story, and itโ€™s rewarding to see the progress one paddock at a time.

If you have overgrown areas, invasive vegetation, or places that are difficult to mow, send us a message to learn more about our goat grazing services!

Terah Murphy, thanks again for allowing us to help out the city and helping along the way! Has been great experience for all!

๐Ÿ”๐ŸŒฑ Our First Round of Meat Chickens are Officially in the Freezer! ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ”

Yesterday we processed our first batch of pasture-raised meat chickens for the season. Itโ€™s always satisfying to see months of hard work come full circle and provide high-quality food for local families.

This photo shows one of the first areas the chickens grazed when they were moved onto pasture full-time. Even weeks later, the impact is easy to see. The darker green area is where the chickens spent the first couple days, depositing manure and returning nutrients to the soil. Itโ€™s amazing what a grazing event can do for pasture health.

One of our goals is to raise healthy birds while improving the land they live on, and seeing this green-up is a great reminder of that.

A huge thank you to our loyal customers who purchased from this first round. Your support of our farm, our family, and locally raised food means more than you know. We truly appreciate every one of you and look forward to continuing to provide pasture-raised chicken throughout the season.

The goats are officially back to work for the summer! ๐Ÿ๐ŸŒพ

This week they headed to Sun City, KS for their first grazing job of the season. Their mission: tackling overgrown Johnsongrass to help reduce wildfire fuel loads naturally and efficiently.

These before photos are of the first paddock before the crew gets to work. Keep an eye on the comments โ€” weโ€™ll post a video of the goats unloading off the trailer and getting started!

Using goats for targeted grazing helps manage heavy vegetation without chemicals or heavy equipment, and the goats definitely seem excited to be back on the job. ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ
