Last night, we were outside when we noticed a pretty large group of monarch butterflies passing through. 🦋

We decided to slow down for a few minutes, watch them, and capture a little video of these incredible creatures.

Knowing the incredible journey these monarchs are on makes it even more special that they chose Cottontop Farm as a little resting place along the way. ❤️

There’s something pretty amazing about looking around your own property and realizing you get to be a small part of a much bigger journey.

We couldn’t be more thankful they chose our place to stop and rest. 🦋🌻

We are all set up and enjoying visiting with everyone that has stopped by so far! Come see us and all the other great vendors at the JM Collingwood Barn art and craft market!

We will be here until 3 this afternoon! If you have already had breakfast, stop by for lunch and check out all the great vendors!

We have three bags of fresh lettuce! We do not want to put them in the stand as they will go bad too quickly! If you want a bag or two please let us know and we can arrange a pickup or leave it in the stand if we know someone is coming to get it!

🐔This is why we do what we do! 🐔

We got this message tonight from someone who recently enjoyed one of our pasture-raised chickens, and honestly, feedback like this means more to us than you probably realize.

Raising these birds takes a lot of time, work, and a whole lot of moving chicken tractors around — so hearing that someone truly enjoyed the end result makes it all worth it!

That being said, we do have one announcement…

We will NOT be doing a fall butcher this year. 🐔

We know some of you reached out after our spring presale asking about birds, and we’re sorry we weren’t able to get you any this time around. We truly appreciate everyone who wanted to support us!

But don’t worry — we kept the list!

Everyone who reached out after the spring presale, along with our previous chicken customers, will be the first people we contact next year before we open orders to everyone else. We want to make sure those of you who have been waiting get the first opportunity.

And here’s a little teaser… 👀

We’re making plans to expand our meat chicken operation a little next year! 🐔🐔🐔

We’re not ready to spill all the details just yet, but we’re pretty excited about what’s coming.

Stay tuned — Cottontop Farm chickens are coming back bigger and better!

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our little farm. Every purchase, share, recommendation, and message means the world to us!
