Alpacas of the southwest Alpacas of the Southwest is a full operating ranch. We began in in 2002 with a year of research and began purchasing Alpacas in 2003. We shopped the U.S.

We have had 25 Crias on our ranch and have Alpacas with blood lines from Peru, Bolivia and Chile. for them and made purchases in 5 states. We have attended numerous seminars on Alpacas and their fiber, as well as the processing of fiber. We have a store as well, all of our products are made out of alpaca fleece. We have socks, sweaters, scarfs, hats, gloves, etc.

Alpaca Shearing Day is April 15th Morning hours. Come watch or volunteer to help in getting our alpacas getting all new haircuts. This is very fast paced, work environment atmosphere.

We will be at the Bell Rock Plaza Arts and Crafts Show this Saturday And Sunday. In Sedona Arizona. Our ranch store and tours will be open too. If you are in area stop by.

We have our shearing date. APRIL 10 Friday. Early morning. If you want to watch or help let us know early. Call Ron @ 702-338 -7806 and get on the list 30 people max. Its a free no tour charge day. The store will be open before and after shearing. Spinners can buy blankets for spinning. Some are pre sold.

We would like to thank Mike and Linda Wood for our newest true black alpaca and cria at side. 2 weeks in bio area but the pacas are watching the mom and baby with glee. Will post pictures of them soon. Very nice so happy

We had a special needs tour with 18 people today. Hershey and Teddy boy sure are so calm and easy around them. Crushed and just let them pet them. Ted also gave the most challenged child extra attention like rubbing on him and making sure he got to feel him. And kisses and sniffs. Ted is normally a reserved type guy. Its a round our 30 th tour of this type. The pacas always treat them nicely. Seem to trust these people more. 6 th sense.
