One of the toughest posts a rancher can make. We found our sweet little 4 day old heifer calf stiff but still barely alive and had to put her down. We had a gate open in between pastures; she was in the gate opening and we're thinking she might have been trampled. Sad we are.

Saw this post and had to share it. It's a perfect explanation of why longhorn beef is better and why we always sell out.

We will have a new batch come May 28th but will likely sell out quickly so reserve yours today.

ORIGINAL POST

I went against everything in me today and bought meat from Walmart to prove a point. Time after time we get told our prices are “too high” - To the point that we aren’t really wanting to mess with selling cuts of meat to the public anymore… But this little experiment shows us why we do it.

I bought 1 lb packages of 96% Extra Lean, 93% Lean and 80/20 ground beef. I have no idea what the brown watery substance is in the 96% and 93%, but it did not cook out and on top of that LOOK AT THE PRICES I PAID!!!
