New mommas are so good at hiding their precious babies. Took me awhile before I spotted this

We have 4 red mommas. Last year they each had a black baby. This year it looked like all red babies, until today. Each year we used the same black bull (from a red momma). This is a bull calf born to “Helen Reddy”. Note the horribly dry grass.we sure need rain.

Something has changed within FB that makes it really hard to post on this page because it is set up as a business page. I am going to leave this post for awhile, but will no longer use it as our farm page. We have a farm page on instagram if you want to see us there. If I can figure out a way to create a non-business FB farm page, I'll let you know here.

This is a somewhat dramatic display of soil fertility from unrolling hay. This is a whole bunch of crimson clover that I didn’t plant. I’ll have to watch the sheep when grazing because this rich clover can lead to bloat. It likely came with the hay.
